These AI-generated outputs serve as a starting point, inspiring our imagination and setting the stage for the transformative artistic process to unfold.
Step 2: Refinement in Photoshop - Harnessing Digital Precision
With the AI-generated foundation in hand, we transition to Photoshop, a versatile and powerful digital editing tool. Here, we can refine and enhance the composition, tweak the colors, adjust the lighting, and add intricate details. We exercise precise control over each element by leveraging Photoshop's extensive array of tools. This step allows us to shape and refine the initial AI-generated concept, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with our creative intentions.
Step 3: Expressive Flourish in Procreate - Unleashing Organic Creativity
To infuse our work with an organic and expressive touch, we take our refined composition into Procreate—an exceptional digital painting and illustration app. With Procreate's intuitive interface and vast brushes, adding brushstrokes, textures, and hand-drawn elements that imbue the artwork with depth and emotion. This step introduces a piece of tactile artistry, bridging the gap between digital and traditional mediums and infusing our project with a unique personal touch.
Step 4: Transformation through Mixed Media Exploration
Some projects seek to incorporate mixed media into the process, this step takes our digitally refined composition into the realm of physical materials. We start by printing our piece via an inkjet printer — We then choose to integrate elements such as acrylic paints, watercolors, collage, or even found objects, depending on our creative vision. Once finished, we take a photograph of our physical print via our mobile phone. We call this process a Round-trip.
By layering different textures, colors, and materials onto the digital work, we create a juxtaposition of digital precision and tactile expression, adding depth and richness to the final piece. This fusion of digital and traditional mediums opens up endless possibilities for exploration and creativity.
