Richard Koci Hernandez

Welcome to Koda Studios, a future-focused and socially responsible creative studio committed to producing cutting-edge and thought-provoking content. As an Emmy award-winning studio, we have more than 50 years of collective experience in the creative industry. Our small studio has just two founders, but our size allows us to be more agile, flexible, and creative.

At Koda Studios, we utilize artificial intelligence as our starting point to launch innovative and creative narratives that push the boundaries of storytelling. We bring our vast experience in industrial design, film, documentary, music, journalism, animation, editing, product design, art installations, ideation, and 3D to every project we undertake. We believe in the AI space's power of diversity and community building.

We are proud to have Richard Koci Hernandez as one of our co-founders. Richard is an internationally recognized and award-winning innovator in journalism and multimedia, with a career that spans over 25 years in Media and Journalism. He is an Associate Professor of Multimedia and The Bloomberg Chair at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Richard's work has been featured in The New York Times, Wired, The New Yorker, and National Geographic, among others. He has also received multiple Emmy awards and nominations for his documentary and multimedia journalism work. He has worked on projects with Apple, Google, Facebook, Instagram and Lexus.

We are also fortunate to have Dan Cristea as our other co-founder. Dan is a talented industrial designer and photographer based in Toronto, Canada, with an extensive product design and photography background. He has worked with clients such as RedBull, Tiffany's & Co., AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), Teknion, RG/A and Dreamworks, among others. He has a deep understanding of design thinking, user experience, manufacturing processes and materials.

At Koda Studios, our diverse backgrounds and expertise allow us to create truly unique and compelling content. We are dedicated to using our platform to impact society positively and are committed to community building in the AI space.
